“No nookie, no workie.” That was the gist of the message a source says former Gov. David Paterson sent his ex-girlfriend Pamela Bane when their relationship ended late last year.

Page Six previously reported that after separating from wife Michelle, Paterson began a relationship with Bane and then hired her last June after a year and a half of dating. Bane claims her role was as “strategic relationship manager” at his DAP Strategies and “chief of staff” for “the Office of Gov. David A. Paterson.”

The titles were previously held by Paterson’s daughter and a friend of Michelle’s, respectively. A source says Bane earned $70,000 annually and her salary was paid through Touro College, where Paterson is a distinguished professor of health care and public policy.

But months later, the couple’s “personal relationship was on the rocks,” a source said. “Pamela told David they could no longer mix the personal and professional,” but wanted to continue working for him. The source adds, “David said he’d consider it, but stopped speaking to her and cut off her phone and a credit card. Her work e-mail was cut off.” A source close to Paterson said the card and phone were his and not part of his businesses.

“When Pam contacted Touro, they told her that Paterson’s team said she had quit” and her job was done, said our source, adding that she’s searching for a new job and considering a sexual harassment suit.

A Paterson rep said, “After a year and a half of a consensual relationship, Pamela Bane went to work for DAP Strategies as an assistant to Gov. Paterson. She has already collected $16,000 for her work . . . this year. This is just the latest effort to try and drag [him] through the mud. I’m sure lawyers will be handling whatever next steps need to happen . . . We’re not going to discuss the latest round of outrageous rumors.”

Bane’s attorney Josh Weiner couldn’t be reached. A Touro rep said: “We do not comment on personnel matters. Ms. Bane separated from Touro College on Dec. 31.”
