Paul Walker leaves daughter $25M, shuts out teen’s mom

Action star Paul Walker left $25 million to his teenage daughter, and asked that the girl’s grandmother — and not her mom — act as guardian of the estate.

“The Fast and the Furious” actor, who died in a high-speed car crash near Los Angeles on Nov. 30, wants his entire estate to go to his 15-year-old girl Meadow, according to court records cited by TMZ.

He is listed as Paul Walker IV in court documents filed in Santa Barbara, Calif., on Jan. 28 by the actor’s dad, Paul Walker III.

The 40-year-old actor asked that his own mother, Cheryl Walker, be appointed guardian of Meadow’s money — with no apparent mention of Rebecca Soteros, the girl’s mom, according to TMZ.

Meadow now lives with Soteros.

A probate judge will decide who should control Meadow’s money until she turns 18.

“[Walker’s] choice of guardian will be given deference by the court, but will not be determinative,” said lawyer Bart Schenone, head of the State Bar of California’s Trust & Estates Section. “It remains the court’s appointment.

“In this case, the amount of money involved may play a factor for the court in reviewing the fitness of the person applying to be guardian. The court may want to look at the person’s experience in managing large sums of money.”
