Ernest Hemingway famously quipped, “Auto racing, bullfighting and mountain climbing are the only real sports … all others are games.”
The Explorers Club director Jim Clash will give a talk riffing on that remark at his Upper East Side club’s Trophy Room on Thursday, we hear.
The author of “The Right Stuff: Interviews With Icons” says he’s “driven Indy cars in excess of 200 mph, climbed a number of mountains,” including the Matterhorn, and “recently returned from bullfighting, where he broke three ribs, among other things.”
The adventurer’s spiel will also address space travel.
