Warren Buffett ordered Dairy Queen, a coke at Four Seasons

Billionaire investor Warren Buffett caused a scene at the Four Seasons restaurant when he shunned the posh menu and insisted on dining on Dairy Queen and Coke.

The 83-year-old “Oracle of Omaha,” said to be worth $65.1 billion, was also swarmed by a bevy of young women who asked him to pose for a series of selfies as he dined at the power-crowd hot spot Wednesday night.

Buffett, the chairman/CEO of Berkshire Hathaway, arrived at the restaurant for a quiet dinner with Tom Murphy, 87, a board member of Buffett’s company and a former chairman of media conglomerate Capital Cities/ABC Inc. They were seated next to the bubbling waters in the iconic Pool Room.

Buffett had a steak and ordered a Cherry Coke to wash it down. Handily, Buffett’s Berkshire Hathaway has a large stake in Coca-Cola. “We don’t carry that kind of stuff, so I sent out people to CVS to buy it,” said Four Seasons co-owner Julian Niccolini.

But the next request the restaurant couldn’t fulfill: Buffett ordered dessert from Dairy Queen, another Berkshire Hathaway holding. “That wasn’t going to happen,” said a source. The only Dairy Queen in Manhattan is under construction on West 14th Street between Fifth and Sixth avenues, and won’t open until May. Buffett settled for chocolate chip cookies.

Buffett’s diet is Wall Street lore. He just doesn’t go for gourmet grub and once said, “If somebody told me [I’d] live a year longer by eating nothing but broccoli and asparagus from now on . . . I’ll stick with the Cheetos and the Coke.”

Meanwhile, “pretty young things swarmed Warren as soon he walked through the doors, asking to have photos taken with him,” said one observer. “He graciously did it. A few people asked him to open his wallet in the picture. Oddly enough, he did this too.” According to the onlooker, Buffett had “just a few dollars in his wallet.” The source added, “He’s more popular than the Dalai Lama!”
