Provocateur owner Michael Satsky pulled strings and shelled out close to $27,000 for transportation to get electronic DJ Deadmau5 here for his gig Thursday night at the club’s Dom Perignon Fashion Week party. The Canadian deejay, real name Joel Zimmerman, only had a copy of his passport because a new one was being processed — and was told he couldn’t board a private jet from Toronto to New York with the copy. Satsky then frantically got Homeland Security to get an emergency waiver for Zimmerman to enter the country. He chauffeured a car to drive the deejay two hours from Toronto to the Niagara Falls border crossing. There, officials — who have discretion on whether to accept a waiver — allowed him to cross the border, in part because they recognized the space invader-shaped tattoos on Zimmerman’s neck. From there, he hopped a chartered plane to fly him to Teterboro just in time.
