It will take a third dimension to keep up with the Kardashians this year. The family has unveiled their annual Christmas card and, this time around, it’s available in 3-D.
“Here it is! Our 2011 Kardashian/Jenner family Christmas card!!!” Kim Kardashian tells the Web site Celebuzz.com. “It was shot by the amazing Nick Saglimbeni and there’s a special 3-D version that you can view with 3-D glasses … I love our family Christmas cards shoots and I think this one looks amazing!”
But despite Kim’s enthusiasm, the card is actually a fallback plan for her. According to Radar Online, the reality TV star had hoped to send out a Christmas card featuring one of her wedding portraits and had even ordered proofs from a high-end stationery company. But when she filed for divorce from Humphries on Oct. 31, that plan went out the window. The new card was shot on Nov. 21, sans Humphries.
KARDASHIAN CHRISTMAS MESSAGE: ‘BUY OUR BOOK’
The Kardashians’ blue-tinged Christmas card shows the family — all in matching bowties — spread out on stairs underneath sculpted arches. The entire family wears black and white, except for matriarch Kris Jenner, who stands in the center of the photograph in a blue sequined dress.
Kim stands slightly off center in the photo, to the right of Khloe and her husband Lamar Odom. Kim sports a tuxedo look, complete with a sequined jacket, which she also wore to cheer on Rob during “Dancing with the Stars.”
To Kim’s right is Kourtney leaning on an armchair, along with her partner Scott Disick and son Mason Disick.
Kendall Jenner has the most glamorous look of the year, in a gown with a black taffeta skirt that frames her long legs. Kylie Jenner leans on her shoulder. On her other side is Rob, with his hands stuffed in his pockets.
Kourtney is very excited about the card. “There’s nothing I love more than getting everyone together for the Christmas card shoot!” she wrote on her blog when the image was shot. “I love everyone’s matching bow ties!”
Khloe echoed, “We had soooooo much fun getting all dressed up for it and I can’t wait to see how it turns out!”
