Barbara Walters will serve as roastmaster for the Friars Club sendup of comedy icon Betty White on May 16, Page Six has learned. Walters told us, “My father was a proud Friar for a great many years. And I am proud to be the roastmaster for Betty, as she paves the way for all youngsters and adds some sex appeal to this dignified pillar of society.” White has said of the roast at Manthattan’s Sheraton Ballroom: “It will be an afternoon filled with dirty words, risque jokes and sex talk . . . and that’s just what I plan on saying.” It’s likely to upstage Quentin Tarantino’s risque roast last year, so Walters better prepare for some carefully plucked eyebrow-raising moments. ”
