Melanie Griffith’s effort to erase her past continues.
The “Working Girl” star, 56, stepped out once again on Thursday in Taormina, Italy to attend Baume & Mercier Promesse Taromina Award dinner.
This time, Griffith completely covered her famous “Antonio” tattoo, a sign she’s working to get over her soon-to-be ex-husband, Antonio Banderas.
Griffith made headlines Tuesday after walking the red carpet of the film festival with a partially covered tattoo. At the time, just “Antonio” was blotted out while the heart shape remained visible.
The actress filed for divorce from Banderas in early June after 18 years of marriage. Despite having one child together, the former couple is gearing up for a custody battle over their three pooches.
“Melanie and Antonio have had issues for a long time. They used to be so affectionate with each other, but more recently they’ve been drifting apart,” said a source about their crumbling marriage.
