News of Danny DeVito’s separation with longtime wife Rhea Perlman blindsided Tinseltown this week, but a new bombshell report claims it might have been coming, as the actor reportedly had a reputation for cheating with extras on the set of his films.
An alleged former crew member from DeVito’s early nineties movie “Hoffa” has claimed to RadarOnline that the diminutive actor and a young blonde extra would frequently “get intimate” in DeVito’s limousine. DeVito was allegedly able to lure her with empty promises to make her famous.
“It was kind of pathetic because she was very young and beautiful and obviously just having sex with him in hopes that he’d make her a star,” the ‘insider’ claimed in the report. “Danny would have his limo driver drive them all over the city and they’d canoodle in the back before going back to his room together.”
“It was sad to see her pretending to really like him when really it was just because of who he was. And worse, Danny preying on vulnerable young girls like that,” the insider continued.
According to the source, it became obvious to many on the set that DeVito and the young woman were romantically involved.
DeVito and Perlman have remained silent since announcing their split on Oct. 8 but there have been whispers that DeVito’s “wandering eye” caused the separation. The day after the announcement, RadarOnline reported that the last 10 years of their relationship had been “hanging by a thread.”
The report claims that Perlman was allegedly fed up with DeVito’s “flirty and inappropriate ways” and gave him the boot.
“He may not appear to be a ladies’ man, but Danny certainly gets a lot of female attention,” the gossip site quoted a source allegedly close to the family.
Regarding the report, a rep for DeVito told us: “As I told them, without names it is pure and simple fabrication and not worthy of a comment.”
