Fab.com co-founder Bradford Shellhammer and his new husband, Georgi Balinov, staged a masked ball at the Russian Tea Room for their wedding Saturday night, where 250 guests wore custom masks of their own design. The ceremony kicked off with a vow-swapping led by Sandra Bernhard. “It all began as all good gay-boy relationships do,” Bernhard said as she introduced the couple, “at Equinox on Greenwich Avenue!” After the couple and friends were serenaded by German singer Billie Ray Martin performing her hit “Your Loving Arms,” Shellhammer and Balinov, a vice president of investment banking at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, exchanged heartfelt and humorous vows, including a promise by Balinov to design guru Shellhammer to “never shop for furniture at Jennifer Convertibles.” Dinner was kicked off with Marcella Detroit from Shakespeare’s Sister singing her hit “Stay,” followed by Shellhammer serenading his partner with “Power of Love” by Frankie Goes to Hollywood. After poignant speeches from friends and family, guests gathered on the second floor for another performance by Erasure’s Andy Bell, who took the stage in the middle of the dance floor wearing sparkly high heels and a glittered tank top. The party rocked on well past midnight.
