Frédéric de Narp has quietly exited as president and CEO of Harry Winston following the jeweler’s acquisition by the Swatch Group this month for $750million, sources exclusively tell Page Six. We hear that dashing de Narp — who joined Winston in late 2009 after exiting rival Cartier — could walk away with more than $15 million as part of an exit deal and that Swatch’s Nayla Hayek has assumed de Narp’s role. De Narp had a reputation for being a high-flying marketer at Cartier and was hired by Winston to reenergize its campaigns. But reports said that his marketing techniques at Cartier were viewed by his bosses as “over the top,” and sources say he was also more of a “showman” than Winston was accustomed to. Last summer, he launched a line of timepieces at André Balazs’ Shelter Island hotel Sunset Beach with Le Baron club king Andre Saraiva. De Narp’s also a fixture on New York’s social scene, regularly rubbing elbows with celebrities and socialites, including billionaire Julia Koch. A Swatch board member, Hayek’s the daughter of company co-founder Nicolas. A Winston rep said the company “cannot comment on any agreements [or] arrangements that have been made between the former owner of Harry Winston, now Dominion Diamond Corporation, and Frédéric de Narp. This includes his departure date and exit package. At this time, we have no further comment as to who will take over the position of president and CEO of Harry Winston.”
