Sofia Vergara: Why I ‘froze my huevos’

Sofia Vergara has revealed why she put her eggs on ice.

Page Six exclusively revealed in March that Vergara is planning to have a baby via surrogate with her fiancé, Nick Loeb.

In an upcoming appearance on “The Dr. Oz Show,” the Latin bombshell explains why she and the 37-year-old “Onion Crunch King” decided to go this route.

“We’re planning [for a baby]. I’m 40-years-old now. Things don’t happen naturally anymore so I’ve been very concerned about fertility and I wanted to take advantage of science,” she told Dr. Oz, “so I froze my huevos.” (Huevos is the Spanish term for “eggs.”)

She continued, “They’re in a refrigerator somewhere because it’s science. I thought it was science fiction that you can do this type of thing to help women have babies later in life.”

The “Modern Family” star explained that she wanted to be prepared to expand her family. “I’m working, my boyfriend is younger, 3 years younger, than me. I like younger men. And he’s never had kids so I wanted to be prepared.”

Vergara is already a mom to 21-year-old son Manolo from a previous relationship.
