‘Voice’ cracks for Usher fan

An overzealous female fan of R&B singer Usher was tossed out of a taping of NBC’s “The Voice” Thursday afternoon after she repeatedly yelled out to the superstar from the audience to get his attention.

The unidentified woman also repeatedly “blew a whistle” during taping to distract Usher, who is a judge on the hit singing-competition show along with Shakira, Adam Levine and Blake Shelton.

According to sources close to the show, the 20-something audience member blew her whistle for about a minute during filming at NBC studios in Burbank, Calif.

We’re told that only the show’s celebrity judges were on stage during the incident, sitting in their oversize red rotating judges chairs.

“The woman was blowing her whistle and yelling Usher’s name,” an insider said. Another witness said the woman was “pointing at Usher and exclaiming, ‘I want you!’ ” over and over again.

That’s when the show’s security approached the crazed fan and asked her to stop — but “she refused,” our source related.

At that point, the woman was asked to leave the building. “The security people escorted her out to the street,” our source said.

Although the ruckus caused a scene, neither Usher nor the other celebrity judges seemed rattled by the incident but took it in stride. “It was at the end of the first half of the day, right before lunch, so taping was not delayed,” our source explained.

Usher joined the cast of “The Voice” this season with Shakira to fill in for Cee Lo Green and Christina Aguilera, both of whom left to work on outside projects. Green’s taking a break from the show to work on new music and develop a comedy about his life for NBC, while Aguilera is releasing an album and gearing up for her own tour. They are expected to return to “The Voice” next season.

An NBC rep had no comment.
