Domestic blogging doyenne Sara Kate Gillingham, the co-founder of Apartment Therapy, split with her ex-husband Maxwell Gillingham-Ryan in 2012 after making a living from giving tips for harmonious family cohabitation in cramped quarters. The couple famously lived in a 250-square-foot West Village apartment, which was featured in the Times, with their young child.
Now Page Six can reveal Gillingham is very proudly out with her lesbian partner, photographer Penny De Los Santos, whose work sometimes appears on Sara’s sister site the Kitchn. Sources tell us that Sara and Penny — who are currently on a romantic trip to Italy — live together in Brooklyn.
Sara confirmed via e-mail last night: “Yes, I have a relationship (for some time now) with Penny De Los Santos, a photographer in NYC, but she has never shot for thekitchn.com.”
