Jay Z’s ex-business partner: Solange ‘seems like a fighter’

After Solange’s vicious attack on Jay Z after the Met Ball, Jay Z’s former business partner says he’s “impressed” with Beyoncé’s younger sister.
Following the release of surveillance video documenting the shocking incident, Damon Dash posted a snapshot with Solange, 27, his daughter, Ava, and A-Trak to Instagram.

“Forgot about this one @ava_dash @atrak and Solange … I am actually impressed with her independent spirit … she seems like a fighter #festivallife,” he captioned the image.
Dash, 43, co-founded Roc-A-Fella Records with Jay Z, 44, in 1999 — before the duo had a falling out and eventually parted ways. Dash was also previously married to designer Rachel Roy (the former couple have two children together), who was the target of Solange’s rage prior to her now notorious elevator outburst.

A source tells Page Six that the “Losing You” singer argued with Roy, 40, shortly after arriving at the Standard and Beyoncé came to her defense when another guest attempted to intervene.

When the female guest asked Solange, “‘What is your problem?’ Beyoncé, 32, defended her sister and told the guest, ‘You don’t get to speak to my sister that way.’”
