Sharon Stone walked out after World Music Awards failed to pay

Sharon Stone didn’t host the World Music Awards as planned because she was not paid before the event, Page Six has learned.

A source tells us Stone arrived to the show in Monte Carlo, but “when Sharon didn’t get paid, she got on her tender back to a yacht she was staying on.”

A rep for the gorgeous “Fading Gigolo” star tells us this is “true” and “correct.”

WMA producer Melissa Corken says they wanted to pay Stone, but it wasn’t in the stars. “She was getting paid, but she didn’t accept the form of payment we wanted to give her,” Corken tells us, adding the wire transfer did not go through because “Mercury is in retrograde. Do you know astrology? Everything gets lost, everything is late.” Corken continued, “One of our private board members was going to pay her — Sharon didn’t want a personal check.” Stone was replaced by Pamela Anderson. The show, scheduled to air on NBC, was canceled due to what the organizers described as “technical difficulties.”
