WATCH: Mos Def undergoes Gitmo force-feeding procedure

Yasiin Bey, the actor and rapper also known as Mos Def, volunteered to be force-fed as part of a campaign to bring awareness to the Guantanamo Bay hunger strikers.

The disturbing four-minute film posted by The Guardian shows two doctors forcefully inserting a plastic tube through the star’s nose, down to his stomach.

The shackled Bey is unable to undergo the full 30-minute procedure and is heard begging, “Stop, please stop.” The hip hop artist convulses and cries uncontrollably.

He said to the camera afterwards, “The first part of it is not that bad but then you get this burning and it starts to be really unbearable, like something is going into my brain and it reaches the back of my throat.

“I really couldn’t take it.”

The film, directed by Asif Kapadia, was launched by the human rights organization Reprieve.
