Paula Deen ‘dumps her entire legal team’

Paula Deen has fired her entire legal team and has found a new set of lawyers following her admission that she used racial slurs in the past, according to reports.

WSAV.com has obtained Federal Court documents that show Deen has let go Savannah-based firm Oliver Maner. The firm was reportedly described as “out of their depth.”

The disgraced TV cook is now being represented by Grace Speights from Morgan Lewis’ Labor and Employment Practice, Entertainment Tonight reports.

Speight has previously fought employment discrimination class action cases as well as claims of discrimination in public accommodations.

Harry Weiss and Patty Glaser will also be on Deen’s new legal team.

Last week, Deen that she cut business ties with New York agent Barry Weiner, who helped make her a Food Network star.

Weiner helped Deen launch a media and merchandising empire that has largely crumbled since her public fallout over her use of racial slurs.
