Devonté Hynes — who performs under the moniker Blood Orange, and who collaborated with Beyoncé’s sister Solange on her critically acclaimed EP “True” — is taking a uniquely low-budget, grass-roots approach to promoting his next album. Orange is offering to preview the record by playing it to fans in his car while driving around town. Hynes posted on his Facebook page yesterday: “This weekend I’ll be driving people around NYC playing my new record for them in the car.” He’s also previously performed under the name Lightspeed Champion.
