Amanda Bynes ‘hospitalized on 5150 hold after starting driveway fire’

Amanda Bynes is reportedly hospitalized on a 5150 psychiatric hold after she allegedly started a small fire on an elderly woman’s driveway Monday night.

According to TMZ, the fire department responded to a Thousand Oaks, Calif. residence after someone noticed the blaze in the driveway. Bynes was allegedly found near the fire.

After questioning Bynes, deputies reportedly determined that she needed 5150 hold — which allows a qualified officer or clinician to involuntarily confine a person deemed to have a mental disorder that makes them a danger to him or herself.

TMZ spoke to the elderly woman whose driveway was allegedly set fire by Bynes.

The homeowner said she was unaware of the incident until cops knocked on her door. When they asked her, “Do you know anyone by the name of Amanda Bynes, or why she would have some vendetta against you?” She said no.

Cops described to her that a young lady lit the fire and was carrying a “little red gas tank” and that Bynes had allegedly burned part of her clothing.

In an earlier report, the troubled 27-year-old star was allegedly accused of trespassing a retirement home in the same neighborhood.

TMZ reports that Bynes was supposedly trying to get into a retirement community in Thousand Oaks, Calif. on Sunday.

Bynes, however, was reportedly turned away by management after they allegedly claimed she was drunk and accused her of trespassing.

Staff at the center are said to have called a taxi for Bynes but when she got into the vehicle, she allegedly told the driver, “Get me the [bleep] out of here…I don’t have any money.” The driver then booted her from the car.

Bynes then allegedly walked back to the center and that’s when police were reportedly called to confront her. No arrest was made, but she may have been ticketed.

It’s currently unclear why Bynes was at the facility, but TMZ reports that she grew up nearby and owns a home in the area.
