Emma Roberts — Julia Roberts’ niece who was arrested this month on domestic violence charges after a reported fight in a Montreal hotel with her beau Evan Peters — dished on the couple’s relationship in the new issue of Nylon. The actress reveals in an interview, conducted before the incident, that she and Peters “didn’t get along” when they originally met. Could it have been a sign of things to come? “We first met at a dinner party, and then we worked together on a movie [“Adult World”], which we did not date during,” Roberts said in the magazine’s Denim Issue, out July 30. “We didn’t get along, actually — he wouldn’t speak to me. But it turned out that we both liked each other, so months later, we started dating, which worked out for the best.” When Roberts, who’s starred in “Nancy Drew” and “Hotel for Dogs,” was asked by the magazine about her “good girl” image, she responded, “I can’t say I’m never going to mess up, but if I do, I’ll definitely be very sorry.” After the Montreal dust-up, Roberts and Peters released a statement saying, “It was an unfortunate incident and misunderstanding.”
