Liam Gallagher’s wife Nicole Appleton emerged without her wedding ring in the first photo of her since the rocker’s lovechild scandal broke.
“Nicole is really struggling. She didn’t want to believe it was true but the evidence is stacking up,” a source told The Sun.
A “strained-looking” Appleton, 38, was spotted in Orlando, Fla. while vacationing with Gallagher’s 12-year-old son, Gene, and her sisters, Natalie and Lee, the UK publication reports. It’s said she is “stunned” and “heartbroken” by the news of her husband.
“Nicole has been trying to put a brave face on for her son but is heartbroken,” a source said. “Liam warned her about the claim a few weeks ago but persuaded her it wasn’t true.”
Meanwhile, Nicole’s 72-year-old mother, Mary, revealed to Sunday People that the All Saints singer was blindsided by news of her husband’s infidelity.
Mary said that her daughter had been casually speculating with her sister and their hairdresser about reports of a mystery rocker’s infidelity, but then received a phone call from Gallagher who confessed he was the mystery man in question.

Mary said that Gallagher – seen partying hard in Ibiza with his new band Beady Eye – hasn’t called since being forced to break the news, “Nikki’s devastated – we all are. She said to me, ‘Mum, he hasn’t even called to ask how the boys are.’
“She said ‘I’ve got a text, Mum, that says ‘I wish I could be with you.’ He’s probably so out of it and so off his head that he doesn’t know what day it is,” she said.
Mary added, “It’s such a shock. There was no warning, it was the last thing Nikki expected. It came out of the blue.”

The Sun reports that Gallagher’s 31-year-old aide, Debbie Gwyther, was removed from payroll by worried bosses after photos emerged of the pair lounging by their Ibiza hotel pool last week. Gallagher was reportedly seen buying the attractive brunette drink after drink on the Spanish party isle.
A source said, “Liam and Debbie have become too close for comfort for management. It doesn’t look good for them if there appears to be flirting between an employee and their star. She has left — but not on her own terms.”
