Dina Lohan has reportedly been banned from participating in her daughter Lindsay Lohan’s rehab treatment after an alleged drunken phone call a few weeks ago.
TMZ reports that Cliffside Rehab facility in Malibu arranged for the 50-year-old limelight loving mom to have a conversation with Lindsay during a therapy session before her July 2 birthday.
On the day of the conversation, however, the person from the clinic who reportedly reached out to Dina believed she was allegedly drunk and nixed the call.
A source told the gossip site that the rehab team felt it would be best for Lindsay’s treatment if she stopped talking to Dina altogether for the rest of her stay.
At least Lindsay has a decent role model – Dina believes Oprah Winfrey will be the salvation of her troubled daughter.
After it was announced Lindsay will be followed post-rehab for a show on Winfrey’s OWN network, Dina told Page Six, “If there’s any mentor you could choose, there’s nobody better than Oprah. This is a great opportunity for Lindsay. We are all very excited about it.”
