Fashion house Alexander McQueen hosted a private dinner with Frieze art-fair organizers in London on Thursday that was inspired by “decadent feasts by Henry VIII” as depicted in paintings. The fancy fete at Christ Church Spitalfields — where the late McQueen staged a seminal 1996 collection — brought out Kate Moss, rocker Florence Welch, Pet Shop Boy Neil Tennant, artists Tracey Emin and John Currin, Tate Modern director Chris Dercon and McQueen’s Sarah Burton.
