Investment banker’s wife slapped with order of protection

The young Polish wife of Upper East Side investment banker Robert B. Albertson has been slapped with a court order of protection and must stay away from her hubby’s ex-spouse.

Karolina Albertson, 28 — who’s accused of threatening Robert’s ex, top hedge-fund exec Suzanne Murphy — briefly appeared on Monday in Manhattan Criminal Court on misdemeanor harassment charges.

Judge Bruna DiBiase issued a six-month order of protection in favor of Murphy, 46, who’s in the midst of a custody battle with Robert.

Karolina met the 67-year-old Sandler O’Neill chief strategist in the Hamptons while he was still married to Suzanne, and he wed Karolina in 2012.

Sources told Page Six that in March, Karolina called Suzanne, saying, “I’m going to have your face smashed in” and, “Your future is in jeopardy.”

Karolina must return to court June 11. Her lawyer, Thomas A. Kenniff, commented: “The allegations are nothing more than fabrications concocted by the complainant in order to gain leverage in her child custody case.”

Murphy couldn’t be reached for comment.
