Jon Stewart and Fox News’ Bill O’Reilly will face off Oct. 6 in a debate being billed as “The Rumble In The Air-Conditioned Auditorium.”
The 90-minute debate at George Washington University, in Washington, DC, was announced by Comedy Central host Stewart as “old-fashioned duel of wits.”
O’Reilly meanwhile said in a YouTube clip that, he and Stewart will be “debating the state of the union and how the upcoming election is likely going to effect it.” He also joked the event will be, “a night to remember for Stewart ‘and his 18 writers,’” according to the Wall Street Journal.
Viewers can stream the debate online for $4.95, and those pre-ordering before October 1 will be able to submit a written question to Stewart or O’Reilly which may be used in their debate. Tickets to attend the debate live go on sale today.
