Photographer Nigel Barker showed up at the Victoria’s Secret fashion show Wednesday with blue hands, stained from spending all day pulling negatives out of the water of his wrecked apartment in the West Village. “Three days my negatives were under water, under seven feet of water,” he told us. “This is stuff that I had from 20 years ago . . . One of the lucky things is, if you get to them when they are wet, you can sometimes save them — it just takes a lot of time and a lot of space.” The former “America’s Next Top Model” judge, who is still without power, managed to save a considerable number of the thousands of images. “You want to save the images that became the final ad campaign or were in the magazine, but also pictures of your children, of the first time I met my wife 20 years ago,” he said. “I photographed her the day I met her, and that picture I sent to my mom and said, ‘I’m going to marry this girl’ — and I did.” Barker’s book “8 Hours With Taylor Swift” is out next week.
