Authorities are having serious doubts about the explosive claims of the mother of “Modern Family” star Ariel Winter.
According to TMZ, they think Chrisoula “Chris” Workman’s is making up stories about her daughter having an illicit relationship with an 18-year-old man.
Winter’s mother told Celebuzz that she “caught them engaging in behavior that I feel my daughter is too young mentally and physically to understand.”
“I put a stop to it immediately,” Workman added. She said she pressed charges against the unknown male teenager. It is not known what charges were filed, or with what law enforcement agency.
However, TMZ has reported that law enforcement officials don’t believe her because she went to police after she lost custody on Oct. 3. The first time Chrystal mentioned anything about the relationship was last month, even though she claimed the pair had been together since the beginning of summer.
It was also reported in The Post today that Winter’s brother, 32-year-old actor Jimmy Workman, has denied their mother’s claims.
“This is stemming from a boy who is overage, dating my sister,” he told “Entertainment Tonight,” alluding to Winter’s boyfriend, 18-year-old actor Cameron Palatas.
“My family had no idea about it until the end part of it. It’s not true,” Jimmy Workman said. “[Chris is] a mother who does everything for her child, so this is just not right right now.”
