WATCH: Barbara ‘disappointed’ after LiLo cancels interview

Barbara Walters didn’t take her snub from Lindsay Lohan very well.

Lohan’s new publicists, Rogers and Cowen, canceled the sitdown with Walters on “20/20” and offered their controversial new client to Jay Leno late last week. The firm was reportedly worried Walters would ask hard-hitting questions about Lohan’s latest brush with the law — allegations she lied to cops about who was driving her car following an accident in LA last summer.

“If they’d said to me ‘You know, Barbara, she isn’t up to the kinds of questions that you might ask’ … If they had told me that, I wouldn’t feel quite as disappointed as I do today,” Walters said coldly on “The View” this morning. Walters insinuated that Leno wouldn’t ask the same questions she would.

The veteran journalist recalled how she how had already flown to LA with a camera crew to capture preview footage with Lohan before their more intense follow-up interview that has since been canceled. She also bitterly showed off a binder of notes she prepared for the much-anticipated interview.

The troubled starlet is contractually obligated to do one TV interview to promote her Lifetime movie “Liz & Dick,” set to air a week from Sunday.
