Hillary Clinton spent her 65th birthday with her immediate family including Bill, Chelsea and her husband Marc, having a much-needed rest and getting pampered at the luxurious Mayflower Inn in Washington, Conn., over the weekend. The Clintons were spotted strolling the grounds, including the Shakespeare Garden, reading and playing cards. Fellow patrons said the ex-president chatted away with all the guests at the Relais & Chateaux hotel, including an unsuspecting bride and groom with whom he took photos. Spies said Bill and Hilary enjoyed the inn’s pianist and sax player and played cards until they were the last to retire from the lobby at 12:30 a.m.. The Clinton family enjoyed a vegan, gluten-free cake and ate from the menu. The witness added, “It was the ideal relaxed birthday celebration before heading back to handle matters of State.” Yesterday, Hillary was back to work in Algeria pressing for possible military intervention in neighboring Mali, which has been largely taken over by Islamic militants.
