Jennifer Lawrence, who plays the girl on fire in the “Hunger Games” movies, is white hot in a dazzling gown tumbling with lace.
New “Capitol Couture” portraits featuring the cast of “Hunger Games: Catching Fire” were released by Lionsgate today, each showing a major character from the film sitting in a chair except for Lawrence’s Katniss Everdeen, who is standing.

In the striking image, the Oscar-winning actress stands tall in an ornate wedding-style dress with winged details and holds a single white rose, a symbol of villainous President Snow, played by Donald Sutherland.
The portrait appears to be Katniss in her “wedding dress,” the angelic gown designed by Cinna (Lenny Kravitz) for her nuptials to Peeta (Josh Hutcherson).
“Catching Fire” is based on the second tome of the bestselling Suzanne Collins trilogy. The film takes place after Katniss and Peeta, who were just crowned winners of the 74th annual Hunger Games, are cruelly called back to fight to the death in the 75th ceremony, or the Quarter Quell.
