Our report on Rachel Zoe’s clothing line being in shreds made it into tonight’s season premiere of “The Rachel Zoe Project” and the pin thin designer was certainly not impressed.
In August, we reported that Zoe’s clothing empire wasn’t selling well in stores, including Neiman Marcus, Bloomingdale’s and Nordstrom. Last summer, she launched a clothing line with Chinese retail giant Li & Fung and we heard they were “panicked” about the collection.
In a clip released today to The Hollywood Reporter, Zoe reacts in shock horror as her husband Rodger Berman reads off the headline “Label’s doing not Zoe well.”
Zoe later told Bravo cameras in a sit-down, “I just think that Page Six likes to write things without fact checking.” (We fact checked, of course)
The scene ends with Zoe sniping, “Such a great way to start Fashion Week, by the way.”
Zoe denied the rumors that her line was in trouble but as Fashionista noted, in the trailers for the fifth season of her reality show, it did seem like the label was having issues.
