Michael Jackson suit: family demands paternity evidence dropped

Katherine Jackson has filed a motion asking the judge presiding over her son Michael Jackson’s wrongful death case to exclude any evidence of the paternity of Michael’s children, Prince Michael, Paris and Blanket.

The family is suing AEG Live – who sponsored Michael’s “This Is It” tour – for the alleged negligent hiring and supervision of Dr. Conrad Murray, who was convicted of involuntary manslaughter in the King of Pop’s death in 2009.

According to legal documents obtained by TMZ, Katherine, the kids’ co-guardian, argues that the jury does not need to hear about her grandchildren’s biological parentage.

Jackson’s ex-wife Debbie Rowe is believed to be mother of Prince Michael and Paris, while the star claimed Blanket was born via surrogate mother.

The 82-year-old Jackson family matriarch also wants the judge exclude any mention of the Michael’s child molestation claims as well as any mention of the singer’s siblings’ financial problems. The family worries that AEG might try to argue that the force behind the reported $40 billion lawsuit is for money.

A judge has not yet ruled on the motions. Trial will commence April 2.
