‘Caddie’ crowd’s rugged eats

Film producer Rachael Horovitz hosted a spirited Scottish-themed bash for her brother Oliver’s new book, “An American Caddie in St. Andrews,” Monday night. The fete at the home of the “Moneyball” producer and her TV exec husband, Michael Jackson, featured Scotch and haggis by Glasgow butcher McLays. More adventurous eaters sampled the Scottish delicacy — made of sheep’s pluck, or heart, liver and lungs, plus other odd bits — although a spy admitted, “We didn’t move a lot of haggis!” Guests included the author’s Beastie Boy brother Adam and playwright father Israel, as well as Le Tigre rocker Kathleen Hanna. A kilt-wearing bagpiper played as guests entered, and an indoor putting contest featured balls that were branded with the title of the book about a New Yorker’s adventures in the legendary golf course’s caddie program.
