Cory Monteith ‘led double life’ – reportedly partied hard with Vancouver pals during home visits

Cory Monteith was reportedly a hard-working actor on the set of “Glee” but he was allegedly a hard-partying substance abuser in his native Vancouver, sources have said.

TMZ reports that the late 31-year-old heartthrob, who was found dead in a hotel room in Vancouver on Saturday, was allegedly living a double life.

Sources explained that the “Glee” cast spent a lot of time keeping Monteith on the straight and narrow, adding that he never showed up to work under the influence of anything.

However, when he went home to some of his pals in Vancouver, “alcohol and drugs were always involved,” the gossip site reports.

Monteith checked himself into a rehab facility late last March, and had publicly admitted to a battle with substance abuse since his teenage years. He left the rehab facility in April.

A Vancouver Police Dept. source told tells E! News on Sunday that the results of Monteith’s autopsy will be revealed early this week.

“Due to the intense public interest, the toxicology will be expedited,” the source explained.
