Drake Bell is known for about twelve thousand different things, most notably his starring role in Nickelodeon’s hit “Drake & Josh.” Today, however, officially marks his move from teen star to “damn that boy is all grown up and making music while looking fiiiiine” adult-dom.

After co-starring with The Who lead singer Roger Daltrey in 2001’s Chasing Destiny,” Drake began to teach himself how to play guitar, the very one Roger just happened to give him. Drake went on to pen tracks for his show as well as other Nickelodeon hits “Zoey 101″ and iCarly.” Afterward he signed with Universal Records and released a slew of singles that packaged him as some weird pop(ish) act.

Bored yet? Yea me too, but wait for it.

Wavy-hand flash forward to today, when I came across this snippet paired with a smolderingly wet video of Drake Bell’s new single “Terrific” shot by Tyler Shields. Firstly, it ain’t no Nickelodeon bull-shiz and secondly the track that it features — which Drake wrote and co-produced with John Fields (he’s responsible for Jonas Bros hits, Miley Cyrus, Backstreet Boys, etc.) — is damn good. Take a watch/listen/deep breath below.

Look for Drake Bell’s new album, including the single “Terrific,” late 2011.
