Next Monday those “Gossip” boys and girls will get a run for their money when MTV debuts “Skins,” a lascivious look at the secret lives of real American teens. That means those Upper East Side expense accounts, chauffeurs and debutante balls are getting swapped out for cafeteria tickets, stolen cars and solo cup house parties.
But what “Skins” lacks in glitz it makes up for in documentary-worthy believability, a refreshing frankness and nine shiny new stars. We’re particularly enamored with Sofia Black D’Elia, James Newman and Britne Oldford.
