Restaurateur, wife in Hamptons domestic dispute

Former Vogue senior accessories editor Filipa Fino and her husband, restaurateur Stratis Morfogen spent Friday night at the Southampton police precinct after a domestic dispute.

Morfogen told us: “I made a mistake. It was an unfortunate incident.”

Fino told us she called the cops after she found out she was implicated in a legal dispute between her husband and his former partners at uptown eatery Philippe.

Morfogen in February filed a lawsuit claiming Philippe’s partners, including Steve Kantor, Steve Boxer and Merchants Hospitality, tried to sell his share of Philippe without his consent, while the partners claim Morfogen forfeited his shares by not indemnifying them from previous debts, according to an agreement Morfogen signed in October.

Fino on Friday found out her name had been linked to her husband’s business, and she tells us she called the cops to clear her name: “This has to do with protecting myself against Stratis and his business partners. I had to make sure the police knew I had no involvement. It has nothing to do with our family.” The couple were together at home on Monday.
