One of my best friends (let’s call her Catie) wrote under the “people you’d like to meet” section on her MySpace page, “Oprah, Madonna, Bill Clinton and Vicki the Robot from ‘Small Wonder.’ Let’s make that happen, people!!!!” I mention this for two reasons: 1. To put her on blast and 2. In an attempt to explain what an crucial role in our childhood “Small Wonder” played.
None of its stars have gone on to other projects, and I firmly believe that’s because once you’re part of a show featuring a emotionless robot daughter, there is nothing left to accomplish in life. The series, which ran from 1985 to 1989, is finally coming to DVD, fulfilling the dreams, hopes, wishes of every person in my age bracket.
