When is Juliette coming back to ‘Lost’?

My inability to talk about anything other than “Lost” this week might be annoying my friends, but thankfully I’m surrounded by 815 equally passionate fans right here on PopWrap. Can I get a cluck-cluck? Anyhoo, the beyond amazing Elizabeth Mitchell chatted with TVGuide.com about her role in the show’s final season, but before we go any further, allow me to say, spoilers ahead!

OK, with that out of the way, I have to admit, Juliette’s presence in the sixth season premiere totally caught me off guard. Yes, I knew that we’d be seeing the hot doc again, but I just assumed it wouldn’t be so soon. I mean, homegirl survived tumbling down a mine shaft, having assorted construction beams crush her body and being inches away from a detonating hydrogen bomb. Although I totally get not wanting to go gently into that good night until getting one more kiss from Sawyer.

Before dying (again? for good? kind of?), a bruised and battered Juliette gazed, glassy eyed, into the darkness of the muddy pit and said, “we could get coffee sometime, we could go dutch.” Many fans have assumed this means she meets Sawyer again in the flash-sideways and she somehow had a vision of this in her dying moments.

“She was obviously talking to somebody. I just don’t know who she was talking to,” Elizabeth told TVGuide.com. “I feel like it will be really interesting to find out who and what situation that’s in.” If the decision was hers, Sawyer would be the one Juliette’s asking to coffee. “That’s what I think in my head and I certainly hope that’s what it is.”

But as it turns out, producers Damon Lindeloff and Carlton Cuse gave Elizabeth a very interesting note just prior to filming that scene. “They told me when I come back that we’ll see her and then they told me a situation and what my emotional temperature would be, but they wouldn’t say anything about who with.”

As for when that return will occur, and which timeline she’ll be a part of, Elizabeth isn’t talking … because she has no idea herself! “I wish I knew. My assumption [is that I’ll be in the final episode]. It will be towards the end. They are in their last bit of shooting, so it will be near the end somewhere, but I don’t know where.

What would you like to see happen for Juliet?
