With less than one month until The Golden Globes are doled out, “Glee” picked up serious steam and a handful of accolades at the 14th annual Satellite Awards. Also chosen by an international academy, the show not only claimed Best Series, but also acting wins for Matthew Morrison, Lea Michele and Jane Lynch.
All four are in contention at the Globes ceremony and, with the exception of Matthew, expected to win. The one kink in “Glee’s” road to total domination could be “Modern Family,” which is the other front runner to snag the Best TV Series (musical or comedy) category.
My hunch is that since the most functional dysfunctional family on TV didn’t get one acting nod, “Glee” will be rewarded in the individual categories while “Modern” will take home the night’s top prize.
