Jodie Foster has married her girlfriend of less than a year, Alexandra Hedison.
A spokesperson for the Oscar-winning actress confirmed she wed 44-year-old Hedison, an actress and photographer, over the weekend, but no details of the location of the nuptials were released.
Foster publicly came out in a rambling, emotional speech at the 2013 Golden Globe awards, where the 51-year-old acknowledged longtime partner Cydney Bernard, with whom she has two sons.
The couple never married and ended their 20-year relationship in 2008.
Foster has previously thanked her partner at other Hollywood events, but had kept her sexuality private.
Hedison dated Ellen DeGeneres for around three years before they parted in 2004. Her acting gigs include playing Dylan Moreland on Showtime’s hit lesbian drama series “The L Word” for three seasons.
Foster and Hedison began dating last summer, when they were first spotted together at Fox Studios in Los Angeles and dining with friends days later.
