Mario Cuomo will be among the speakers at an intimate farewell for Mayor Michael Bloomberg on Wednesday night at Gracie Mansion. We’re told the former New York governor is working on a funny and touching speech about Bloomberg’s 12 years in office.
Guests expected include top cop Ray Kelly, Dennis Walcott, Howard Wolfson and Hizzoner’s daughters Emma and Georgina. The mayor, who’s ticking down the days of his last weeks in office before turning City Hall over to Bill de Blasio on Jan. 1, has been visiting the city’s boroughs as part of his “legacy” tour.
His final major address as mayor will be at the Economic Club of New York.
