Johnny Weir: I’ll survive divorce but leave my Birkins alone

Victor Voronov may have taken his pre-split anger out on some of Johnny Weir‘s most beloved possessions: his collection of lavish handbags.

In an email obtained by TMZ, Weir, 29, pens an apologetic message to his soon-to-be ex-husband following Weir’s infidelity, but scolds his former love for torturing his accessories.

“If you decide to wreck things, please wreck cheaper things than Birkins,” Weir writes. “The f*** you on the Birkin is kinda cool, though, you artist. I know you don’t care about Hill I’ll survive if you divorce me, but please leave my Birkin bags, Celine bags and Chanel bags alone.”

The Olympic commentator continues, “I’m planning them as part of my eBay sale.”

Despite the ruined leather goods, Weir’s affection for his then-husband rings true as he expresses his “eternal” love from the “depths of [his] broken heart.”

On Wednesday, Weir announced his split from Voronov after two years of marriage.

“It is with great sadness that I announce that my husband and I are no longer together,” the ice skater tweeted. “My heart hurts, and I wish him well.”

But by Thursday, things had turned ugly between the former couple. Weir claims he grew tired of financially supporting Voronov, who took issue with Weir’s work schedule, and there was a domestic violence incident that landed the duo in court.

“We were fighting in such a terrible way and it did get physical . . . it’s unfortunate that things went the way that it did because domestic violence is never the way to go,” Weir told “Access Hollywood.”
