The Motion Picture Academy’s official New York Oscar-viewing party has never been much of a star draw, but last night’s at Gilt in the Palace Hotel hit a new low. “Milk” screenwriter Dustin Lance Black and actress Catalina Sandino Moreno of “Maria Full of Grace” were among the few big names. But at least everybody liked the food — a 10-course meal with each dish inspired by one of the Best Picture nominees, including a foie gras “bomb” for “The Hurt Locker” and prawns for the extraterrestrials of “District 9.”
