Kanye West says little about shooting

Kanye West was not very forthcoming at a deposition yesterday in Manhattan involving the August 2005, Miami shooting that left Death Row Records founder Suge Knight with a shattered femur. “He basically put his hands over his head and didn’t say anything for six hours,” Knight’s lawyer, Marc Brumer, told Page Six. “He evidently doesn’t know anything about anything, despite the fact that he hosted the party.” Knight is seeking more than $1 million — including $200,000 in medical bills and a $135,000 diamond earring he lost in the aftermath — from West, who threw the party the weekend of the MTV Video Music Awards at the Shore Club. Knight claims West and the Shore Club didn’t have enough security at the event, attended by Jessica Alba and Eddie Murphy. The shooter has not been identified. Knight himself was arrested last month for allegedly pointing a gun at a man but the LAPD did not press charges.
