Ian Schrager, the Studio 54 co-founder who invented the boutique hotel, was overjoyed yesterday with the birth of his first son. Wife Tania, a former dancer with the New York City Ballet, delivered 7-pound, 14-ounce Louis Schrager, named after Ian’s father, at 1:50 a.m. Schrager, who already has four daughters, is about to open a new hotel in Hawaii next month (in partnership with Marriott), and he bought the Ambassador East Hotel in Chicago for his new hotel brand.
