Paris Hilton’s embarassing ‘Drunk Text’ music video leaks

Paris Hilton’s new music video, “Drunk Text,” features the socialite self-consciously mugging for the camera in a skimpy red dress as she describes “how one stupid reply can lead to the walk of shame.”

While the video was posted today on YouTube by the user “ParisBrasilChannel,” it appears to have been leaked. The video was quickly pulled from the site, a message in its place now reading “The video is no longer available due to a copyright claim by Black Hole Recordings.”

PARIS HILTON RECORDING NEW ALBUM

But the fact that the video was leaked has not dulled the internet’s enthusiasm for the track, which is being almost universally panned. Gawker goes as far as to call the video “very awful,” and has already created the “Paris Hilton ‘Drunk Text’ Ringtone Collection.”

A spokesperson for Hilton said in a statement, “We can confirm that the video leaked today is not part of Paris Hilton’s new album. This video was recorded over a year ago. The first single will be out in a few months, we will let everyone know when it’s due for release.”

Manufactured Superstars also released statement, saying, “Paris did this music video as a favor for us, it’s not part of her new album. This is an unfinished rough-cut, which was not ready for release. We’re looking into what happened and removing the illegal copies from the web. We’ve heard some songs from her new record which are incredible and are really going to surprise people.”

While Hilton sang in her first music video, 2006’s “The Stars Are Blind” off her album “Paris,” in the new track, Hilton simply speaks over music created by the electronic duo Manufactured Beats.

Hilton, who shot to fame following the release of a sex tape made with ex Rick Salomon, aims to be both sexy and erudite in her lyrics.

“It was just a drunk text,” Hilton says in the song. “In my head I was writing a fiction of us/ Behind my eyes, I was begging for things my lips would never ask / My mouth kept pouring desperate clauses of random intent.”

Later in the song, she gives a verbal formula.

“Take the word sex and mix it with texting/ it’s called sexting,” she says. “When you add drunk sexting, the words just don’t make any sense/ It’s a hot mess of misspelled obscenities, body parts, and run-on questions.”

Hilton revealed last month that she was working on a new album, and that her boyfriend, DJ Afrojack, was producing it.

“Afrojack is actually executive-producing the entire thing,” the socialite said while partying at the Sundance Film Festival. “There are a lot of very cool collaborations on my album. It should be out in the next few months. We just finished doing my single with LMFAO, then I’m recording with Snoop Dogg.”

Soon after, Hilton tweeted that she had worked on several tracks with rapper and songwriter Flo Rida.

“#YES! Just finished recording 3 songs in one night!” she wrote. “Working hard & feeling proud! So happy & excited with how everything is turning out! :D.”
