Tory Burch and her ex-husband Chris Burch were involved in a boardroom showdown yesterday over his company C. Wonder’s similarities to Tory’s eponymous fashion line and stores. Sources tell us the exes, who divorced in 2006, faced off over how to move forward after he opened C. Wonder late last year — and the fashion world gasped at the glaring similarities to Tory Burch in his color schemes, products, the logo and even the store design. While Barclays Capital has been hired to sell off his shares of Tory Burch, Chris still remains co-chairman of the board. A source told us, “Tory wants Chris to step down as co-chairman of the board. And she wants him to change his products and his stores completely so there’s no resemblance. His products sell at a lower price point, and she feels the comparison is damaging her brand.” Another source added, “They are trying to keep it friendly on the outside, but inside Tory is seething.” Reps for both Burches didn’t get back to us last night.
