Ryan Gosling gets own On Demand channel

Ryan Gosling now has his own On Demand channel.

For the month of February, Time Warner Cable is offering eight Gosling films on a channel for $1.99 to $4.99 a pop. According to LA Weekly, the cable giant decided to offer Gosling’s movies for the month in honor of Valentine’s Day, as the star is known for taking part in romantic fare.

Gosling’s three most recent releases — “Drive,” “The Ides of March,” and “Crazy, Stupid, Love” — are among the offerings. Gosling’s classic with ex-girlfriend Rachel McAdams, “The Notebook,” is also available, along with “Lars and the Real Girl.” However, “Blue Valentine” is not among the movies viewers can choose to watch at home, nor is “Half Nelson,” for which Gosling received an Oscar nomination for Best Actor.

To access Gosling’s movies, Time Warner subscribers can go to “Movies On Demand” and choose “Ryan Gosling” as their genre.

Gosling’s large online fan base was no doubt one of the reasons Time Warner opted to offer a Gosling On Demand channel. Gosling memes like “Hey Girl” and “Feminist Ryan Gosling” have taken off on the Internet. Earlier this year, when Bradley Cooper was declared People magazine’s Sexiest Man Alive, a campaign took place online calling for Gosling to be given the title instead. A small protest even took place outside People’s office with Gosling fans chanting, “Bradley Cooper is just fine, but Ryan Gosling is divine.”
